The root of this comes from his innate understanding of quality and craftsmanship. Troy Adams honed his appreciation for artisanal craft at a young age working with Father and Grandfather who were both cabinet makers. This nurtured an appreciation for beautiful materials which is always a hallmark of his design. At 25, he moved to Honolulu where another key aspect of his approach developed, to create designs that seamlessly consider the relationship between indoor and outdoor living to build a fluid environment for his clients. Early on his talents were recognized with an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and whilst he initially was celebrated for his unique kitchen design this expanded into larger-scale projects as clients saw his unique ability to integrate design that complemented the way they lived into his work.

 As someone who has traveled extensively, he is always seeking inspiration, leading to his iconic mastery of fusing various design styles, techniques and ideas. A hallmark of his approach combines the simple elegance of Japanese design with precise German engineering and American details to bring the best of every world to his clientele across the globe. This concept became known as his trademarked FusionDesign™.

Another facet of his internationally renowned projects is his custom product design, notably his Julien combined BenchToilet™, a unique piece that creates a stylish feature in the most beautiful bathrooms.

These thoughtful touches are evident in all his creations and a signature term for his work is warm minimalism. This is due to the way he centers his approach to create spaces that are a delight to live in, with every detail of function, material and lifestyle thoughtfully chosen.

His practice encompasses architecture, interior design, and real estate development with a recently completed estate in Beverly Hills as the Crown Jewel of his portfolio.
